ABOUT ME
Fragrances can be incredibly enchanting, bringing incredible experiences, transporting us to the most wonderful places in our imagination, enhancing interpersonal relationships, and complementing all creations by imbuing them with sensory color. All of this is the work of people who encapsulate all the essences of a fragrance in beautiful bottles to preserve them for a long time.
Let the wonderful scent of perfumery spread...
My name is Mateusz, and I have been creating fragrances since 2017. The fragrance blends I create are small works of art, reflecting my extensive chemical knowledge, experimental methods, and creative touches.
The work of a perfumer is one of the most fascinating, consuming many days and hours to create something that will evoke the most wonderful memories for the wearer and their surroundings. The beginnings of a composition are usually a sketch of the perfumer's imagination, which can be described, sketched, or presented in the form of a painting or even musical inspiration.
I use a variety of ingredients in my compositions, from natural to synthetic. I research each ingredient individually. I create various pyramids, charts, and tables for each ingredient to determine its longevity, projection time on a blotter and on the skin, initial associations, and "social" affiliation—meaning which group a given ingredient belongs to. I also test the appropriate concentrations of raw materials in various solvents, from alcohol to inorganic solvents. Many substances used in perfumery can have varying effects on the skin and health of the user, so various tests are also necessary to ensure that all perfumed cosmetics are 100% safe.
A perfumer is not only a fragrance composer but also a production technologist. They determine the order in which the ingredients are mixed, their solvents, the temperature of the dissolution process, and the maturation of the composition. They also describe the reactions that occur under the influence of various factors, such as humidity, light, and temperature. We are required to conduct detailed bacteriological and physicochemical tests, which we use to tailor the preservative to a given composition or substances that prevent unfavorable chemical processes that reduce the quality of the product.
The laboratory department also assesses the product's chemical composition, expiration date, and other necessary packaging markings before the fragrance can be released.
This is precisely the role of the Matthew S' Parfums brand and myself, to perfect a work that brings a colorful sensory experience to life.
